It was taken at Tom Sauk State Park in Central Missouri. My Brother and I camped out there in the fall of 2006. I slept in the hammock and he in a tent without a pad. I woke up refreshed and he just woke up.
The tarp is actually the Hex Fly that comes with the Safari Deluxe A-Sym Hammock. Yes I do have a piece of advice. Hang it high! Hang it where the bottom of the hammock, the lowest point, comes to the top of your thigh. It will be a little hard to get into the first time, but you will find it is a lot easier to get out.

Wow, without a pad, he’s hardcore….tell Andy that the cheapest pad cost $5.00 and saves the whole camping experince.
