My last post about my Birthday was pretty dark. I want to lighten the mood by pointing out another aspect of Christianity. Probably the best known verse in the Bible is John 3:16 which reads:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (ESV)

But not many people know the next verse, John 3:17 which reads:

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:17 (ESV)

The message is clear, God loves us. He sent his son Jesus to save us from ourselves and our sin. He didn't send him to condemn us like so many people believe. :-) - Sean
